RELEASE INFO

LHK & Alex Moran hard at work...

LHK Productions

LHK (Liam Swarbrick), one of the rising producers on the uk scene, has released over 10 quality releases over the last few years. originating from manchester liam caught the house music bug early and has been dj'ing across manchester and the north west for the last 11 years. liam's musical style ranges from the classic chicago traxx to the latest european deep house sounds. he began the transition into record producer several years ago, teaching himself how to work with studio equipment and his first release came out on glasgow underground recordings after much interest from kevin mckay.

Liam's tracks have been supported by many of the leading dj's across the globe, ranging from tony humphries and kerri chandler, to ashley beedle and jori hulkkonen, his music is not pigeonholed to one particular style, he produces and makes music that he loves.

Alex Moran (Weekender)

Weekender are Alex Moran and Si Brad, two highly acclaimed Manchester based producers who together have been rolling out some of the choicest deep house grooves consistantly for the past four years.

The partnership came about as a result of Alex (responsible for Manc rave anthem - Ultracynic's "Nothing Lasts Forever") sending a demo of "Sunday Session" to Toko, who then took it to in house producer Si Brad - whošs been making music for over fourteen years now and has played an integral part in setting the standards of quality British house music since the beginning through his work with Manchesters Salt City Orchestra and even soluful funky R 'n' B with Rae and Christians Grand Central imprint (check out his mix of Spellbound).

The result of this was the now legendary 12th release on Toko "Lost in The Loft / Sunday Session" the latter of which has been embraced and scooped up by Virgin. Since then the two have proved to be a fantastic creative partnership, bouncing off each otheršs ideas and creating some cracking deep house tunes in all sorts of styles - from the loose funk of "Lost in The Loft", to the tripped-out, uplifting "Spirit in Your Soul" , and from the awesome piece of Balearic magic that is "Hugo Agogo" to the full on double slice of dancefloor heaven "Theme form Weekender Pts. 1 & 2", there is no doubt about the diversity and quality of the pair's musical haeritage. They also work closely with soon to be massive Moss-Sider Azeem , probably better known for the '98 release "Beautiful Day" by House of 909, and it is he who supplies the vocals on the sublime "One the One".

Alex has become a respected DJ and you can also check him ranting and raving about the latest house tunes in top dance mag Seven every week. By the way for anyone wondering why they're called Weekender, it's not a tribute to Acid House caners Flowered up. It was a name that Alex decided on when he had the usual shite job during the week and did the usual larging it at the weekends - the name just seemed appropriate
