Phaedra consists of a single producer who's real name is Julian. The "Phaedra Sound" is not necessarily classifiable, but leans mostly toward Deep House. Julian has released holy roller/deep street 12" (SLR001) and the baselines ep (SLR002). Look for an upcoming remix of 'holy roller' by DJ Buck.

Seafoam is Brian Cavender. He's been writing electronic music since 1994. Brian's earlier works were strictly techno oriented with influences including Cabaret Voltaire, Meat Beat Manifesto, Richard James' works, and Autechre to name a few. Now being signed to Straylight as well as Guidance Recordings, Brian has mastered his 'housey' craft. Jazz influenced with a light touch of techno would well describe Seafoam's current works.

Hakan Lidbo is a highly prolific Swedish music producer. He hails from the industrial town of Malmo in the south of Sweden. And yes, he does come from the land of beautiful women. I have confirmed this myself. What influences his art? Jazz, Latin, electro, funk, hip hop, house, acid, world and folk music, punk, classic, contemporary art music, electroacoustic music, to say the least! ILK is new wave and industrial aficionado Doug Cavender and bass player turned hip hop fiend Mark Orosz. They have produced a number of tracks for the cutting-edge Straylight imprint, home to like-minded deep tech heads such as Phaedra and Seafoam (Guidance Recordings). - L. Magnuson - epitonic.com
